The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index showed positive momentum during the pre-open session on the first trading day of the week, Monday. The index gained 6.50 points, closing the session at 2795.21 points. This follows Friday’s close where the market had gained 1.54 points to end at 2788.70. During the session, the Sensitive Index also rose by 0.95 points. Trading activity remained active with 25,944 shares of 67 companies exchanged through 184 transactions, totaling a turnover of Rs 23.01 million. Out of the traded stocks, 27 companies saw an increase in their share prices, 34 companies declined, and 6 remained unchanged. This early morning gain sets an optimistic tone for the regular trading hours.
