The National Assembly of Nepal is scheduled to conduct a pivotal legislative session today, Sunday, commencing at 11:15 AM. According to the official parliamentary agenda, Prime Minister and Home Minister Balen Shah will lead the proceedings by presenting key legislative proposals received from the House of Representatives. During the session, the Prime Minister will introduce a motion to initiate a comprehensive, clause-by-clause discussion on the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, followed by a formal proposal seeking its official passage. In addition to the election bill, Prime Minister Shah is set to table another critical legislative package concerning the Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, 2083. This will involve a request for the upper house to commence a detailed review of the voter list amendments before moving a separate proposal to put the legislation to a final vote.
