A historic milestone was reached in football history as Japan delivered a masterclass performance to defeat Tunisia 4-0 in the 1000th match of the FIFA World Cup. Playing at the Monterrey Stadium in Mexico, the 'Samurai Blue' completely dominated the Group F encounter from the opening whistle. Daichi Kamada opened the scoring just four minutes into the game, followed by a 31st-minute strike from star forward Ayase Ueda to double the lead before halftime. Junya Ito added a third in the 69th minute, and Ueda capped off his stellar night with a second personal goal in the 83rd minute to seal the 4-0 rout. With this victory, Japan sits comfortably at the top of Group F with 4 points from two matches, while Tunisia faces a near-impossible mathematical hurdle to qualify after conceding nine goals in back-to-back defeats.
