Salapa Bikas Bank Limited (SABBL) has officially announced the upcoming expiration of the lock-in period for shares reserved and allocated to mutual funds. According to the public notice issued by the development bank, a total of 58,114 units of shares held under this category—carrying a face value of NPR 100 per share—will be released from the lock-in restriction after Ashar 24, 2083. This corporate action follows the regulatory directives set by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), which mandates that shares allocated to institutional mutual funds during an initial public offering must be held in a lock-in period for six months from the date of allotment to the general public. As the specified six-month timeframe nears completion, the bank issued this public notification to ensure transparency and keep investors and market stakeholders well-informed. Once the lock-in period concludes, the respective mutual funds will be fully permitted to buy, sell, or trade these shares in the secondary market.
